I remember going to the Statue of Liberty on a school trip when I was a kid and we got to go to the crown. They only allowed you to look out the window about 2 minutes because it was a really small space and there was a huge line behind you but the view was spectacular. It is such a shame that times have changed so much since then (and I'm talking about the '80s) and certain freedoms have been taken away from us. Your children are beautiful and I am glad you enjoyed our city so much. I always talk about moving away but NYC is the only place I've ever known. I guess when you live here all your life, you take things for granted. It's cool to see things through the eyes of a tourist.
