We decided to take the kids into the city since they love it so much. My son Vincent is totally obsessed with the city and made the whole NYC skyline out of legos and 3D puzzles and has a skyscraper book that he reads all the time.
We had so much fun! The kids freaked out riding in a taxi and I think their necks hurt today from looking up at the buildings. The best part for them was going to the top of the Empire State Building. All I could think about was King Kong!
They didn't need a tour guide up there with Vincent. He was spotting all the buildings he knew and was screaming them out. Alot of out of towners were gathering around him!
We had a nice lunch at a little bistro across from Macy's in Herald Square. It's funny because I worked in the city for years and basically never thought about how beautiful it really is and seeing the kids in such awe just made my day! That being said I couldn't wait to get back to my house in the "burbs"!
Of course me and my daughter Carina had to do a little shopping and Saks 5th Avenue! LOL!!
