We see itchy yorkies here all the time and I thought I'd put this post up so people can do their own research if they're in need of a solution for their dogs coat or skin

This is the part about PETS (from the 1st link I posted) :
Pet Owners Use Emu Oil To:

Soften pads on dogs and cats
Condition the skin and coat
Reduce irritation of flea bites
Relieve dry, irritated skin
Relieve chronic ear infections
Treat minor cuts and wounds
Relieve hot spots and dermatitis
Reduce hair loss from skin problems

I've used emu oil for ages. Especially on my show dogs. I've not had itching problems on any of my dogs. But it does protect the coat wonderfully and it doesn't attract the dirt as much as other oils do, also not as greasy.
