Reece was eating the Royal Canin Puppy Mini food when we brought him home and I noticed that over the last day or two that when he eats it, he doesnt chew it just picks it up and swallows it!!! This afternoon he was gagging or trying to throw up...about an hour after he ate. I bought some sience diet canned food and thought he would do better on that and he gobbled it right up! Should I keep him on the canned food a while or should I mix the kibble with it? He is nine weeks on Saturday and was chewing it up a few days ago. I know the answer seems simple...canned food....but I wondered if it would give him softer or runny stool? I have always given my dogs kibble in the past so this canned food is new to me. Also the can says for his weight and age he should have 3/8 of a cup a day and I know he would eat around 1/4 of the can or more and that seems like waaaaaaaaay too much. I am so confused...
