Well, we haven't had good experiences with Kitchen Aid blenders. They didn't last very long, and always left huge chunks unblended or un-pureed. For my wedding I received a CuisineArt blender and it's GREAT! I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever and it's been almost 2 years. Also, it blends stuff quickly and effeciently. My aunt has one too and she loves it as well. Good luck with whatever you choose
