Ok.... if your serious about Blending.... A Vita Mix is the only way to go!!! I can put other blenders in my Vita Mix!!! lol It was $400.00 But it came with a 7 year warrenty! and I had the option for an additional 3 years for $50.00 to make it 10 years!! They will run forever!!! I traded my old one in and got $75.00 Credit too!!! It was 25 years old!! And still worked like the day It was bought!!! It has a 2 horse power moter!!! Its serious!!!

You can Cook soup in it the Blades spin so fast that the friction from them will actually heat and cook your ingreediants in the jug!!! And cook soup right inside the blender!! Its not bull... It works! And you can make sorbet in it too!! Its so awesome!!!! I love it!!!! I would not trade it for the world!!!!
But if you want an oster.... I have one I paid a hundred bucks for that I used twice... when I was out of town and NEEDED a blender.... Its just sitting under my Cabnet... its only a couple months old... And its got a glass jug....
