Are you home all day long with him, and is he up most of the day getting some excercise?
My yorkie is home for about 8 hours by himself, 4 hours in the morining then I come home for lunch and then 4-5 hours in the afternoon. I know he sleeps most of the time. So when I get him he gets a quick fast paced 10 minute walk to calm him down and then he is up playing with his toys. I sometimes give him a slow lingering up to 20 minute walk at his pace till he is till he is tired. Then in bed by 11:30. Doing this has gotten me to about 530, 600am. I then move him to his excercise pen and he stays there till 730 when I get up.
While some nights he might get up, I give him a little pet and he goes back to bed.
On the weekends when he is up all day, on doggy trips. He is usually in bed by 9:00 and will sleep straight through 800am.
I think the key is quality excercise, and a good schedule.
