In addition to making it a fun adventure, I'd make it treat time! In fact, if you aren't free-feeding, I would feed her while she has her harness on.

First, though, I would probably put the harness away for a couple of days. Then, when you reintroduce it, be very positive about it. This is fun! Here are your treats! At 9 weeks, she isn't likely to run too far away from you and you will be right there to make sure that hawks don't get her, so a couple of days shouldn't matter.
