Laurie, some of them take to harnesses immediately and some are a struggle. The only advice I can offer is for them to see that wearing their harness reminds them of something fun like going for a walk. Some take many months to get used to them and will chew at your fingers and their harnesses while you are trying to put the harness on them. Just be sure not to fuss at them and be patient and they will eventually be very, very happy to see the harness come out or will be eager to tell you they want to go for a walk by showing you where it is!
