Default Help getting a blender

I need help. My cheap blender just broke, yes I only paid 20 bucks for it, but the one before that one was a kitchen aid and we paid 100 dollars for it and after years it stopped working and of course the warranty had expired then, and to fix it it would be almost as much as I paid for it, then I bouhgt the cheapy one and that one lasted almost 2 years. I want to buy an Oster brand but my husband had one long time ago and he told me that they aren't as good.My mom has an Oster and she's had hers since I was little, is just the basic blender on and off botton, nothing else, that's why I thought about one of those. Any suggestions on what brand to get? Have you have your blender for a long time? what made you buy that brand? Am I asking to many questions? I just don't want to be buying blenders every 2 years!
Any help would be appreciatted. I'm thinking about buying a new one this weekend.
