Sometimes people are soooo ignorant. Even if you have a big dog that is not aggressive to other dogs, some yorkies (especially the little bitty ones) kind of look like bunnies. Your "non-aggressive" big dog may still have the "hunt" instinct that will trigger a chase. I think it should be against the law to walk dogs in a neighborhood off-leash. If you live way out in the country its a different story. But it's a shame that I will no longer walk my 2 dogs, both under 10 pounds, in my neighborhood because of ignorance and negligence. I can get on a soap box about this one people!! I think I've worked myself up enough to report them to my town, I know the addresses of the people that have dogs that get loose, or are walked w/ no leash. If I'm gonna complain, I'd better do my part to resolve the issue!!!! I'd love to be able to take my boys on a relaxing walk without constantly watching over my shoulder and wondering if they are safe.
