If the change is just on the top of the head, its possible your baby will stay darker on the back.
With my dogs, alot of their heads turn very silver/grey and that turns to a light tan as an adult with the muzzle being golden.
Its a small picture, but if you look at my avator his lil guy had a completely silver head and it is changing to tan now. His back hasnt had much of a change yet at 8 months old.
