My pup has really nice black thick coat. But the top of his head is getting more and more grey hairs (I wished I could call it silver -sigh-). What's going on??

Is he starting to change his colors? I was kinda hoping he'd stay dark... And my hubby's laughing we got an old dog

(not funny...). J.J just turned 3 months old (13 weeks).
