I will have a welping box set up for Roxi; however, since she sleeps in our bed do you think she will try to welp there? Anyone out there have dogs that sleep in their bed that have had pups?
My Sophie sleeps with us in bed. When she was ready to deliver she did indeed think she was having them in "our" bed. I moved her promptly downstairs to the whelping box my husband had built. After the puppies were delivered we kept the whole box and Sophie in our room at night so she could go back and forth and we could keep an eye on the new ones. It was December in Mi and cold. We had a heat lamp on 1 corner of the box at all times in case the puppies got chilled. It was on all night so no darkness in room at all. We moved them downstairs between 4-5 weeks. Sophie was much happier when we had them in our room with us. But once we were weaning them she didn't seem to mind telling them that the Queen gets the bed and the babes get the box.

Good Luck!!!
