I noticed the day I brought Ranger home, he walked in front of a mirror took one look and kept walking. But the same day he was very aware of his shadow, as he would bark and growl at it. But now when he looks in the mirror I swear he's checking himself out sometimes its so funny and he still barks at his shadow if he sees it on a wall.

I learned from the discovery channel that human babies don't recognize themselves in a mirror until a certain point in developement. So maybe it could be the same for puppies?? But for older dogs I wouldn't know, it might depend on when they are introduced to their reflection. . .Very Interesting though I might add!!
