Maybe a little extra tired, but NOTHING like I was expecting! The healing was a breeze! She never bothered the stitches at all!

Good luck to you, and your baby will be home soon!
Barely 2 lbs Yikes! I don't think I would have survived the hand wringing. I've never worried about 6 month old kittens and they're small. I don't know why I am now. She's very healthy and always has been. I guess since I've always had mutts, they are so interbred that they don't have the problems purebreeds do. I never knew anything about liver shunt, hypoglycemia, collapsed trachea, reverse sneezing, and all the other things small dogs are prone to. I'm probably more worried about me missing her than about her having surgery I really wanted to have a litter of pups, but after reading all the posts of everyone having litters, and seeing what problems may arise, I don't think it would be wise. I have no experience there - all my dogs took care of things themselves. If we lost a pup, I don't know what I'd do. And I know if we had some, there's no way I would be able to part with them. So I think this is the best for both Roxy and us. We can always adopt a rescue as a playmate for her, which is what I plan to do if things work out for us.
