IF you decide not to use the washable ones, buy people blue pads from the adult diaper section. They are thicker, held tighter in the frame and you just tuck the excess under the frame. Whether you use disposables or washable, people ones are less then half the price of pet product ones.
Mine also mainly does it when she's alone and probably bored. I try not to let her make a mess if I can help it, but I can't always watch her. I always tell her no scratching...etc. Can the washable ones tear/wear from scratching at all? I have considered these pads but don't want to wash them. I'll look into the people pads. Thanks.

I just read the packaging for the Hartz Living Puppy Training Pads for Dogs & Puppies, which is what I use for Angel, and it says the pads are made with an absorbent polymer and cotton fluff. The packaging says, “The pad material is not harmful if swallowed by pets.” Hopefully, the latter is true, but it makes me feel better it says this. Where I live in Canada, Wal-Mart sells them for about $10 (32 in a package), which is the cheapest I've seen pet pads sold for here.
