I am bumping this thread. I too need to find a pup in my area (Santa Cruz, San Jose, SF).
There is a breeder in Pleasanton. There's also one in Livermore. She charges $1500 - $1700 though. Another breeder in Walnut Grove charges $2000. Too rich for my blood.
I'm a little uneasy about answering a classified ad in the paper, but I guess that's my only choice right now seeing as how I can't find any other breeder in my area.
Lissy, I'm interested to know about the breeder you found.
