 Greasy Head Hair?
I have not had any problems with Kia's hair being greasy, even though she has the run of the barn, yard, fields, etc, so she does get quite dirty at times. I use a mild shampoo-Straight Arrow's Mane and Tail or people stuff like Dove, Down Under and Aussie's. I asked a top breeder about this last week, and she prefers Summer Wind, Coat Handler, and/or Mane and Tail. The Mane and Tail is a gentle shampoo, the conditioner and de-tanglers are great, and she does what I do at times-not rinsing the conditioner out. Greasy hair possibly has to do with too much conditioner or not enough rinsing; the hair on the head is usually much thinner, and therefore requires lesser amount of products. Many of the shampoos are quite concentrated-diluting them will help quite a bit. |
