My favorite book of ALL TIME is
East of Eden by John Steinbeck. It is a classic. He is such a vivid storyteller. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone interested in a great story. The first chapter is rather tough to get through, but please don't judge the whole book by the first chapter. Almost the entire first chapter is imagery. But, get pasts the first chapter and into the heart of the story, and it is definately a page-turner.
I am about to start reading
A Million Little Pieces. I know it is not entirely "true" like the author made it out to be, but my sister-in-law is currently reading it and she can't put it down. She said it is incredible. I can't wait to read it!
