I think people say things before they think.....kinda pops out!
I have been guilty of doing this! SO I think Im more tolerant most of the time. Ive thought "Ugh why did I say that!" Sure sounded better in my mind then thru my mouth!
I have an enormous son at 2yrs. He towers above most kids and he is built like a line backer. Hes very chubby too! I could count the number of times I have went into public with him that someone DID NOT comment on his size. Some comments are cute! Such as an older man kinda pinchng at his cheek and saying to his wife "Now isnt he a Buster!?" But I have also had people say "Heavens that is the biggest kid I have ever seen!" Once one lady asked me "If he is okay?" .................lol............I smiled and said yes he is okay.
I myself wondered because of his size and had him tested by specialist! So I understand the comments, and yes some of them sound quite rude! He is just a baby so Im tolerant right now, but when he gets older and understands I might have to have a different reaction
One day IM sure when he is older people will not comment so freely! He is estimated to be an enormous person, his weight and height do not even graft on a doctors pediatric normal growth chart. Where am I going to buy clothes!!!!!!!!
Anyway, my yorkies will never understand the "big comments" so Ill just smile at the ignorant comments sometimes made!
Just consider yourself more educated then the other guy and you can smurk under your breath of your vast intelligence!!!
