We had a chocolate lab that we had gotten from another friend of ours - sweetest thing you could ever meet! But we waited too late to work with him and he just didn't follow the commands DH was trying to teach him so he became a much loved pet. Alas, he was striken with a heart problem the vet didn't catch and passed away of a heart attack at the age of 6
So, DH and I are debating on when to get another one because we ARE going to get one, just not sure of timing. But the guy I know lives here in town and is very good friends of ours. If he doesn't have any chocolates when you are ready, he WILL know of someone who does that he can recommend. Just let me know when and I'll start the "hunt" for ya
