Mya tried that at first she was dragging the pad around...lol She loves to chew paper.
We just kept up with telling her a sharp "No" then giving her a toy that she can chew. When she settles and chews the toy we tell her she is a good girl. Yesterday there was a magazine on the floor she nibbled the corner, looked at us then ran to her toy.
I do get tired of hearing my own voice, but it finally clicks in that lil brain of hers.
If she is missing the pee by a few inches I pick her up and put her in the middle and still tell her she is a good girl. One thing I have learned that is if you make time to play with the dog they will settle down at times that you are busy or not there.
We play with Mya (usually fetch) for 3 hours a day. She is now entertaining herself more with her toys. Yesterday she barked to be let outside. She was born Feb 17th.
I think it just takes time.
Respectfully,
Cyn
