I have no idea why not. But if I were to speculate I'd say that it's because we are so tiny and rural. We have a walmart and couple of fast food places and that's about it. We have no movie theater, no mall nothing. The closest big town is an hour away. It's mostly a farming community.
I encourage each of you that may be skeptical to call the Monroe County animal shelter at 423-442-1015. Ask for Vickie. She's the one in charge of working with the rescue groups but anyone that answers can probably tell you that there's no laws in place here to protect animals.
You guys from Michigan should know how rural most of these places are since half the state of Michigan is in Tennessee in the summer time. |
