THIS IS THE NORM for around here..sad and sick, but true! This is a rural area (Madison Co.) the police are likely not going to do anything, they are too busy busting Meth Labs (the newest pass time of the rednecks) and if people get the media involved, etc. Then the woman who is willing to surrender these dogs (yes even for a price) may tell them to $%#$ off, and then NOTHING will be done. If you want to help, then SIT TIGHT, send donations, be willing to foster or adopt a dog, but don't get involved and take matters into your own hands. Let the people who know what they are doing here do it, it is obviously a situation where they are having to tread lightly. These kind of people who own these yorkies likely don't realize they are doing anything wrong, or that their dogs NEED to be rescued. Still working on finding out about this rescue, and the validity of this case..will post info when I have it. Jeanie I am shocked at your opinion. Rescuers work their BUTTS off, there is no need to create a "scam" when there are PLENTY of dogs needing rescuing. I am SURE these folks who are taking care of this situation wish they had LESS important things to worry about.. now they are going to be flooded with basicly wild, sick dogs...and people are calling them scammers, that hurts my heart. FYI be careful what you wish for when you wish to see PETA involved! I witnessed PETA "freeing the poor caged animals" at a HUGE dog show in down town memphis as a child, those dogs ran out into downtown memphis traffic and were KILLED...but to PETA it was a success mission, they were FREE! PETA is nothing but a radical group that causes entirely WAY more harm than good. |
