Default Thank You

I appreciate the sympathy and thoughts from everyone; The sight may be lost, (about 80% lose it), but I just hate the thought of her without her eye-she has such a gentle expression. The whole eye/lid, etc is over an inch outside the orb, and is extremely sensitive, of course. I don't think I will sleep much tonight, as the more it is kept iced, the better chance there is of saving it.
She is a fantastic patient-I held her most of the day, and she is now curled up in her bed at my feet. When I put the compress on, she keeps her head still despite the pain; she does whimper some. She didn't want any supper of course, but my neighbour brought over some chicken linguine, and Kia ate some of the shredded chicken, but will not drink. I dribble a little water into her mouth occasionally; the collar interferes with normal drinking and eating.
This episode has helped me make up my mind; I miss my big dog, but until I am able to find another young enough to adapt to my household, I will not get one. I have been also hoping to find a small playmate for Kia, so I will concentrate on looking for another Yorkie, possibly a rescue, or an adult retired from showing, as I cannot afford to buy a puppy.

ps; the avatar picture is Kia, taken in May.
