Default Advice

nala just started her obedience classes and the lady told us this to get them to walk on a leash... first get them use to a leash, let them wear it around the house SUPERVISED after you think they've gotten use to being on a leash and wearing a car take the leash and walk backwards and have some type of treat in your hand, the treat can be food treat or some type of squeeky toy. get them to walk a little then reward them and continue everyday for about 10-15min. she also told us to do most of our obedience outside after the dog has had time to play and unwind. hope this helps. nala has almost got walking on the leash down, nowshe's got to learn to heel(sp?)
