I got Angel in June, and for some reason starting last week, she's been scratching her pee pads w/ her front paws and then chewing/eating the spots she's scratched. The pee pads are placed in a tray w/ a frame. The first time I noticed her do it was to a pee spot as the pad would be easier to scratch. Now she does it even to a clean pad. I see the white stuff in her hair around her mouth and on the tarp and she's chewing like she's eating it. How can I get her to stop doing this? It's expensive to keep changing the pads when they're still good to use, and I don't want her to eat the pads as I'm afraid the absorbent stuff may be harmful to her and get stuck in her body.
