Earlier this week as I was driving up the very busy highway near my house I saw this poor dog walking across the middle of a very busy highway. Unbelievably there were no cars coming at this time but the poor thing was in the middle of the road. I was so scared for him and called animal control right away and they came and got him. A couple of days later, I took my neice to get ice cream at the outdoor mall. It was probobly about 86 degrees outside, and parked right in front of me is this van with two long haired beagle type of dogs in it. One of them was sprawled across the dashboard against the window with his tounge just hanging there. The windows were just cracked a hair. I went in and got the ice cream and when I came out they were still there so I called animal control. A police officer showed up about 15 minutes later, and said that animal control would be there but probobly wouldnt do anything because the windows were "cracked open a little". I just cant believe how freekin stupid people are! I mean WHY even bring your dogs if your going shopping and just leave them out there in the car???? It had to have been over 100 in there. Im sure that the people would not have been able to sit there in that heat. I just dont get it.
