This is what i know from reading, i am NOT a breeder so please don't jump on me!

The mom will stop the pups from nursing, that's when you use a good quality puppy kibble, mixed with puppy milk formula. Make sure the food is the right temp. and introduce the new food to the pup.

I would put the puppy kibble in a blender to crush and mix it with the puppy milk.

I don't think you should take the mom away from the pups that drastically, but i might be wrong?

NEVER ever let the pups go at 6 weeks, that is WAY to young. They should stay with mom till at least 12 weeks of age. She has a lot to teach them and they need to get socialized!!!!
