Cry New to forum and need of help

Hi everyone I am new to this forum and I need help! My Yorkie has skin problems. At first he started with white flakes, then one day he got a hot spot and we took him to the vet. There we got antibiotics for the hot spot, some omega 3 supplements and an Elizabethan collard to prevent any more scratching and bitting. His hot spot cleared up really fast, but after it was gone we removed the collard he was still scratching him self. His skin got worse. He was really oily, with more flakes and he expelled a bad odor. Then I got advise to give him showers with Nizorel shampoo. I have given him a shower every other day for a week and his skin looks way better, the flakes are gone, the smell is gone but he is still scratching and I'm afraid he could get another hot spot if I don't leave the Elizabethan collard on...his had it on for weeks now!!!!!! I know he hates it when I put it on! Any suggestions hot to stop the scratching? Please help!!! Max Gingy (chihuahua)
