Ohhhh, reminds me of my days working at the vet office myself- total of 5 years. I loved it and miss it still. It was hard work. You get a little dirty, have to see some sad things, but overall I knew we were helping so many animals. My vet was even written up in the vet journal for saving this doberman's life. The dog ate a pair of pantyhose - I had to wash it off after it was in its stomach - groce and take pictures of it for his article. But cool how we saved the dog's life. He would have died soon if we had not operated.
My jobs - Lets see ... I took xrays, gave shots, counted white blood cells (can't be disturbed while doing this), operated the gas and oxygen during operations, sometimes cut stitches for the vet when he was stiching up during operation, tapped dobe's ears, cleaned kennels, answered phones and did some reception work. Of forgot, groomed dogs and cats. yep! did it all! Hint - don't put anything you want to eat in the freezer - just don't.
