I live in an apartment, too! Mine also like to go out on our screened-in porch and look around and lay out in the sun. I take them on 2-3 walks a day. One in the morning right when I wake up, one right when I get home from work in the afternoons, and one in the evenings before bed. Hootie stays in her crate while I'm gone and Hobbs just stays in his bed on the couch...he gets to stay out now bc he is potty trained. But I leave them for 4 hours in the morning, I'm home for 1.5 hours for lunch, and then I leave them for 4 hours in the afternoons. I take them on walks bc I want to make sure they're getting enough exercise!!!!!!! They sleep the whole time I'm gone!
