Yes, only the outside of the ears are trimmed. Just get hubby to hold your pup and then shave the top 1/3 of his ears with the clippers. Be careful not to cut him, though! They do get rather squirmy. You will definately need someone to hold him while you do it. Shaving the ears will help them to stand up better!
