I am actually very much a beginner sewer....I have made a pillow for my daughter, and the two outfits for Sophie, and her bed (just need to get the stuffing for it) and that is it. I did cut out the material for a dress for my daughter, I'm pretty excited about that too.
I took apart one of her smaller shirts to make a pattern and just kind of fudged my way through it. It was fun! I don't think I will be selling them....I wouldn't know how to adjust the sizing for other dogs. At least with Sophie I can keep trying it on her. Maybe some day I can work my way past novice and sell some. That would be fun!

That is nice you are sewing for your daughter, I loved sewing for all three of our children. As soon as I get things done here that are a priority, I am seriously thinking of starting to sew and knit for pets and put them on Ebay. I am one that constantly has to have my hands busy and doing. I knit and crochet when I watch tv, my knitting bag goes with me and while waiting for apointments I am content to pass the time keeping my needles moving
Oh, there is a new fabric out, I found it yesterday in Wal Mart, it is the cloth book material "Learning To Pray" for children, it has little picture of children and a prayer for each page, what I am doing is making little pillows from it for Baby Blessing, the print is so pretty and the pictures so adoreable, each pillow will have a picture and then the other side the prayer. She loves our throw pillows so this will be nice for her to have her very own
Enjoy your little girl and enjoy sewing for her they grow up toooooo fast, before you know it you will be in what they call these golden years, which we are still looking for them......they are not golden, but the Lord is in charge and he gives us the strength and the knowledge to know that our Golden years are beyond, in the years after with HIM.
