My husband is into hunting REALLY bad - and has gotten our youngest (who's 13) just as "addicted" as he is! But....I don't mind. We belong to a camp where we have put a single-wide trailer and fixed it up rather nice for "deer camp". I enjoy going up there as much as he does for no other reason than to get "away" from phones and traffic! I don't hunt but will go with my 13 year old to the deer stand when DH is working at the fire station. I take a good book and sit there and read while he does the scouting and looking for deer. And yes, a lot of money is spent on this "hobby" - deer camp dues, money for ammo (bullets, arrows), clothing (for 4 of us - 16 year old hunts occassionally), and not to mention the food we have to buy and gas spent getting to the camp each and every week-end during the season. We all enjoy football and baseball so we basically "ignore" each other when football or baseball is on

And we are a true house divided: 1 Bama fan (guess who THAT would be), 1 LSU fan, 1 MSU fan, and 1 Ole Miss fan - it does get rather exciting during football season at our house - but we do have fun

And the best part, hubby has never once complained about our furbabies! He supported me when I first started asking for one years ago and loved her as much, if not more, than I did. It literally broke both our hearts when Katie died. And even though he was not real sure about bringing Gage into our home last year, he has grown to love him as much as me....and doesn't complain about the money I spend on either of them, just shakes his head and says they are so spoiled - with a grin on his face

So, I guess I'm one of the "lucky" ones - hubby's only hobby is hunting, we all enjoy football and baseball, AND best of all, he loves and supports our furbabies
