I have put toys and treats and his kong and he still crys. He did great last Saturday he was in there for about 1 1/2 hours while we were out. I think he crys so much now is he knows somebody is home. I am going to go out this weekend with the kids and video him while we are gone. He sleeps a good 5 hrs in the crate at night in my daughter's room and he does go in and out during the day on his own. I have the crate right next to my other dog and he loves her. He sure does have me trained well.
I was thinking of putting him in the bathroom with a baby gate at the door if the crate doesn't work out. I crate trained my other dog and she loves her crate. I think with him being so small and so darn cute it is hard to have him cry so much. I will try your suggestions and hopefully he will get better. Thank you all.
