I switched their dog food to Solid Gold Wee Bits w/ salmmon meal. That seemed to have helped their dry skin. I also dilute their oatmeal shampoo and leave a good conditioner on their coat for 10 - 15 min.

Another thing that seems to help is a good rinse after shampoo/conditioning. Rinse, rinse, rinse!!! Shampoo left on their coat is very drying! A great way to tell if their coat is shampoo-free is to rinse them in a plastic dish tub.
"Rinse - dump out water, rinse - dump out water..."
You will be amazed how many times you'll need to rinse the dog before the tub water is free from shampoo!
