Question Questions on chewing

I'll be getting my yorkie next weekend, and although I don't know if he will be a chewer, I'm trying to think ahead as much as I can so I'm prepared. What do you do to stop a puppy from chewing? I know they need chewing toys, etc., what are some good chewing toys for yorkies? I know the main thing will be to keep things picked up and watch him closely. I'll be with him all day since I work evenings, and my hubby will be with him while I'm at work. So, we'll be able to watch him, but I know they can still get into mischief, even if they are watched closely.

It's been a long time since we've had a puppy, and our last one (lab/blue tick mix) never chewed at all. She was happy to chew on her toys and never bothered anything in the house. We were lucky. Just thought I'd ask here to get some suggestions.

As I said, it's been a long time since we've had a puppy in the house. I'm SOOOOO excited!!!

Thanks in advance.
