Sounds like you had an un-nerving experience!!

My biggest fear is a fire while either I'm not home & Snickers is baby-gated in my bedroom or in his crate. Obviously, our babies can't escape in these two situations. About the only time I ever (don't tell anyone) set my alarm is when I leave the house with Snickers at home & it is always because of the thought of fire. If he's with me, I don't bother with the alarm. Now, I'm not comforted to know that fireman are trained to not save animals. I will admitt though, I wouldn't want someone to loose a husband or father. I do treat my dog like a human......but the guilt would be terrible.
