I have this same problem with one of my Yorkies. It is such a scary feeling when she is out running loose on the street. If you have a fenced in back yard, I suggest that you go out the back door if possible until your pup is fully trained not to run out the door. That is what I do and I know that if she does get out the door she is still in the fenced back yard. Thanks for the suggestions on how to train not to bolt out the door. I will give it a try with mine also.
