Smile Training to "sit"

It took Stedman 2 days to learn the "sit" command. Granted, I still work with him on it every single day (only for about 5 minutes a day though, so he doesn't get sick of it) and I will continue doing so for a while to make sure it "sticks" with him. When I FIRST started training him, I would touch my finger on his little booty and say, "Stedman, Sit"...I would keep repeating this until he did so. And IMMEDIATELY after he sat down, I would give him LOTS of petting and praising (GOOD BOY STEDMAN!! GOOD BOY!!) and give him a treat right away. I also give him a big kiss because he LOVES kisses It worked, and he literally learned the sit command within 2 days. He also does it now without even being given a treat (but I don't do this very often...over time I will though). Yesterday, I started the "walk" command training (standing up, dancing/walking on hind legs to get a treat). He's got that one down too! But not 100% yet...this one will probably take a few more days than the "sit" command did. After the "walk" command, comes the "speak" command

One tip: Give *tiny* treats so that it doesn't take them forever and a day to eat it all. Give little pieces so that they consume it quickly and will want to come back and do more ticks to get another treat

Good luck!!!
