How did Sophie do with your company? I have a new to us pup - he's 9 months and play nips still - but not hard.
One thing I read is that what they're mama does during socializing. If pup bites mama hard - she yelps and then uses her paw to turn the pup on it's back until he stops squirming (her way of saying that behavior is not acceptable and we're not playing with you now).
