Get up about 1 1/2 to 2 hours earlier and spend the time with him before you go to work. Before you leave he will be tired and only too glad to see you leave. It's part of the responsibility of dog ownership if you want a dog when you work full time. Right after work you don't get to go anywhere but come straight home and you are his for the rest of the time until you go to bed.
I don't agree with drugging a dog in this type of situation.
Are you crating him? I prefer leaving a puppy in a safe room such as a kitchen with a baby gate or large xpen so he has some room. You can also get a dog walker to come in mid day and take him out. |
