I have found, that if there are drug reps there then the waiting room fills up until you see the dressed up people come out carrying their bags, and then they start calling people back. So I don't schedule appointments at the times when the drug reps are allowed to be there.

Doctors don't usually speak w/ drug reps unless they have the time. Sometimes the drug reps are back there with the office staff, nurses and MA's. Drug reps become friends with the staff becuase they are there so much. I've never seen a doctor make patients wait because he/she was busy with a drug rep. I've always seen doctors put the patients first. Maybe the reps had scheduled appointments with the doctors? You also have to keep in mind that a lot of times reps will stop by unexpectidly. In these cases, I've seen my doctors tell them they are busy and the reps respect that, and leave whatever they have for the doctors. If you think it is the staff that is keeping you waiting though, you need to mention that to your doctor.
