Mine fought me too. Then I made myself a grooming arm and attach it to the counter top. When they are in the noose, they stand fine, but if I try to brush them on my lap they bite at the brush, unless they are really tired.

So my suggestion is to get or make a grooming arm. i can tell you how if you PM me.

Also take her for a long walk and wear her out before brushing, that will take some of the sas out of her.
