To get Gizmo to drink water, boil the chicken and give him the broth (cooled of course - no salt). You can save the water in the fridge. When I did this for Jewel, we put a 1/4 cup per container so we can monitor how much water she was getting each day. The smell of the chicken really helped Jewel take in her daily required amount of water.

Jewel was 4 pounds and we were told by our vet that she neede minimum of 1/4 cup a day. She drank almost 1/2 cup of the chicken broth daily and the improvement was amazing!
