Mojo has done this several time (SEVERAL) but only to his blankie. The vet said it happens because when they are with a female, they are stuck together longer and of course, er, inside of her......anyway, the vet said it is normal and sometimes the shaft (skin) is pushed back over the, hum, balls...many it is fully out and erected. When this happens to Mojo, he is in shock or something, and can't move around much, because, er, "it" pretty much hangs to the floor. The vet said that it will usually go back in on its own over time - normally once they calm down and usually after they lick it several times. She said that sometimes the end will be stuck out and bright red, after everything else has shrunk back into the shaft. She said that you can use water or some KY jelly and gently work/ease the skin back around it. I heard that neutering does cut it down, but it usually doesn't stop it. My husband still freaks out when this happens.....he is proud of his "studly-manly" dog! What a freak!
