I think it will help you out. Just make sure the person uses positive training techniques. You need to reassure the dog that it's OK! Most likely you will have an initial consult and a follow up, with lots of homework by you in between. You only pay for their time and advice, then you do the work, so it shouldn't cost you more than a few hundred dollars. Around here we pay about $100/hr and those types of things are 2-3 hours in total. That's about what I pay for an 8 week group training class, but since it's specifically targeted for just your dog, I think it's a pretty fair price. Good luck. And check references
