Where is the crate in your home? When I put Hootie's crate in my bedroom, she would pitch a fit!!!!!!! But then I moved the crate to the living room so she can see the front door that I come in and out of. Since I moved the crate, she no longer cries when I put her in there and she only wimpers a little when I get home bc she wants to be let out. Maybe you could try moving the crate. Also, make the crate accessible even when you are at home. You want your little one to be able to go in there voluntarily to sleep with the door open when you are at home. When she gets in her crate, always give her a treat.
